IT Support Engineer

ABOUT THE ROLE

  •  ⁠Covering 8AM – 6PM UK hours Monday to Friday

  • Answering user calls, cases, and emails while trying to identify the root cause of issues and providing first-level troubleshooting.

  •  ⁠Monitoring systems using RMM softwares to run patches, flag any potential issues, and ensure systems are complying.

  • Maintaining an accurate Asset Register.

  • ⁠Monitoring ticket system for new incidents.

  • Creating new knowledge base articles to share information that can be reused throughout the Technical Support Centre.

  • Routing escalated issues to responsible teams for resolution.

CORE SKILLS

  • Basic knowledge of hosted desktop solutions

  • General user and email administration

  • ⁠Knowledge and experience in managing Office365 tenant administration would be advantageous

  • Familiarity with RMM tools are preferred but not mandatory. 

  • Basic networking capabilities (DNS, DHCP etc)

  • Basic knowledge of VoIP (preferable 3CX)

PERSON SPECIFICATION

The successful candidate will demonstrate:

  • Excellent communication skills (English), with the ability to effectively explain technical solutions to non-technical users.

  • Capable of working independently with minimal supervision, as well as being a valuable team player.

  • A logical, methodical approach to the task at hand

  • A keen level of attention to detail
